SWAYAM, is the Ministry of Education’s (MoE) existing Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) platform providing educational opportunities for a vast number of learners.India aims to achieve a higher education Gross Enrolment Ratio (GER) of 50% by 2035 and 65% by 2047, which implies the addition of 37 million and 66 million learners respectively to the current system.
